Hi! I'm Shreya, and I'm a 2021 graduate in sociology from IGNOU. I never attended college and only gave college exams at exam centres. Needless to say, I lacked exposure to the real world because I spent my days at home. I lacked social skills and knowledge about placements, so I could not get placed in 2021. I was extremely stressed, frustrated, and had some societal pressures.

I spent my days teaching basic MS Excel and MS Word at an offline computer centre for a very meagre salary. In 2022, I came across freelancing platforms like Fiverr and Upwork and created my accounts, but no response came (probably because its really hard for new creators to get ranked high enough to attract clients).

I tried my hands on digital marketing in 2022 and 2023 but only got a few clients and had to do a remote job as a customer service staff for an IT company. Fast forward to 2025, Veo 3 launched and it caught my eye. I arranged for a free student account from one of my friends and started experimenting with the 1000 credits it had. I love arts and I really liked that I could do storytelling with it. I approached clients via apollo io and clay and asked them if they wanted me to create ads for them. I showed them a small portfolio and also the digital marketing portfolio i had created before. Landed a 2-3 good clients who wanted a long-term contract for posting on youtube and instagram.

Now I feel like a self-made woman. I like working for myself instead of working a 9-5. Enjoying the businesswoman experience. Life feels on track, and society finally respects me for earning a decent salary. Many of my tensions and insecurities are gone.
